World-class research facilities

The Human Genome and Stem Cell Research Center (HUG-CELL) has laboratories with state-of-the-art genomic sequencing equipment and facilities for maintaining cell lines and animal models used in functional studies of genetic diseases.

The Human Genome and Stem Cell Research Center (HUG-CELL) has Novaseq genomic sequencing equipment, laboratories for cell culturing, including a clean GMP room, certified NB2 labs, rodent and zebrafish facilities, clinics for attending patients, and an amphitheater with capacity for 95 people.

In addition, the HUG-CELL Center researchers are professors with laboratories and offices in the Department of Genetics and Evolutionary Biology of the Institute of Biosciences of USP, Cidade Universitária, São Paulo.
